Component Sourcing

With over thirty five years experience in the manufacturing industry, WestWeigh are able to offer an efficient, low cost, component sourcing facility.

This service has developed through our work with domestic customers, and overseas customers many of whom have imported equipment and then found they have been unable to obtain critical spares to keep their system in good operational order.

It is extremely difficult to source individual components of a system if you don't have access to comprehensive industry knowledge and data. Furthermore, even if you are able to find the component and manufacturer or distributor there is then the problem of arranging payment, shipping and the correct documentation.

WestWeigh can resolve all of these problems and handle the whole task from finding the component to having it delivered to site.

Sourcing / Procurement: -

As already mentioned WestWeigh have been involved in the manufacturing industry for over thirty five years and during this time we have accumulated a huge database of industry contacts. Furthermore, we have been supplying our own products to industry leading O.E.M. customers located in many parts of the world, and we have extensive credit lines available with component suppliers and manufacturers.
Drawing on these resources we are usually able to quickly locate most items that we are asked to find.

Payment: -

WestWeigh will handle all aspects of supplier payment in whichever currency is required. Similarly we can invoice our customers in their own currency.

Documentation: -

As we already export to over 50 countries we are familiar with all aspects of export documentation.
We can supply Certificates of Origin, Legalised Documents, EUR 1 forms, Notary Public documents etc.etc. Everything that is required for shipment and quick, smooth, movement through customs.

Shipping: -

We can arrange any type of export packaging and supply equipment on an Ex Works or F.O.B. basis - or - we can arrange for Door to Door Courier, Road Freight, Airfreight or Sea Freight. Whatever service you need, we already have the structure in place to fulfill your requirments.

Costs: -

In most cases our costs for these services will be less than other companies that advertise similar services.
Our service is offered as a supplement to our main business activities and they can be clearly seen on other sections of this website. The service structures are in place for our "Day to Day" business and therefore we do not look for additional profit margins to keep them in place.
When we quote for a specific component it will be the genuine "brand" product - not an alternative from a different supplier. The only exception to this rule would be where a company has ceased to trade, or a component has become obsolete. Under these circumstances the background would be clearly explained and the alternative specification would be submitted for approval.
